Acupuncture
The term "acupuncture" describes a family of procedures involving the stimulation of anatomical points on the body using a variety of techniques. The acupuncture technique that has been most often studied scientifically involves penetrating the skin with thin, solid, filiform needles that are manipulated by the hands or by electrical stimulation. Practiced in China and other Asian countries for thousands of years, acupuncture is one of the key components of traditional Chinese medicine. Acupuncture became better known in the United States in 1971, when New York Times reporter James Reston wrote about how doctors in China used needles to ease his pain after surgery. American practices of acupuncture incorporate medical traditions from China, Japan, Korea, and other countries. |

Herbal Medicine
Chinese herbalists use plants according to their taste and how they affect a particular part of the body, an organ, or the biochemistry in the body. The Materia Medica, a modern botanical pharmacology text used by medical practitioners, contains hundreds of medicinal substances. Most of the substances are plants but there are also some minerals and animal products. Practitioners may use different parts of plants such as the leaves, roots, stems, flowers or seeds. Usually, herbs are combined and you take them as teas, capsules, tinctures, or powders.

Nutrition Therapy
The functional viewpoint of a balanced diet is very different from that in the modern dietetics. In a functional system, a balanced diet is one which includes all 5 tastes - spicy, sour, bitter, sweet, and salty. Foods and herbs which have a particular taste tend to have particular properties. Foods with certain properties were thought to have the ability to strengthen the organs, improve health and prevent aging. Foods and herbs such as date, wolfberry, sesame, curcumin, medicinal mushrooms and ginger are a few foods with anti-inflammatory and metabolic benefits. All whole foods contain the chemical constituents which our bodies need to function optimally. Creating a personalized nutrition strategy is the key to balance and physical strength for everyone.

Electrical Stimulation
Microcurrent Electro-Acupuncture is a safe and highly effective evaluation and treatment system with far-reaching applications, including: pain management, rehabilitation, and tissue healing acceleration. It uses hand-held probes, needle clips or electrode pads to transmit imperceptible stimulation to the acupuncture point. Electro-Acupuncture can be used with or without traditional needle acupuncture, making it an alternate choice for those who prefer a non-needle approach.
